URBAN Shell was developed to be manufactured
with materials accessible on the market in both price and
availability, but without leaving aside the durability and
functionality of the product.
Proposed materials: steel (preferably stainless
steel, due to constant exposure to the environment), recycled
plastic sheets (Smile plastics).
This concept has two main functions: protection
and storage.
SHELTER: URBAN SHELL has been developed to
work as a shelter for changing weather conditions. During
the night or in cold weather environments, the trolley is
placed against a corner, protecting the user from rain, wind
or snow. The roof cover keeps the safe from water or snow
while its lateral covering panels keep them protected from
the wind, creating a warm and cozy shelter.
During the day or in hot weather conditions
its roof protects them from sunlight, while its open structure
lets the air pass through, keeping the fresh and comfortable
inside.
STORAGE: URBAN SHELL has the added value of an external core
that works as a structure for hanging and arranging extra
belongings or simply keeping them handy.
The protection panels apart from keeping their
belongings safe from the rain, they help them have some dignity
and privacy by making them look as neat persons even if the
things inside are not arranged or tidy.
1) To install the roof, simply slide the tubes
through the lateral rails of the trolley, place the plastic
joint at the other end of the tubes. Insert the plastic cover
in the hook of the plastic joint, extend the plastic cover
over the trolley and ready.

3) A footbrake is installed in order help the users secure
their trolley while not in use. Higher wheels are adapted
as well as bigger grip structure for uneven ground levels.
4) Every user can choose or personalize its external core
drawing, before it is sent for production; making them fell
unique and not part of a system.
5) An additional lock is implemented at the handle joint so
they can keep their belongings safe.
6) Installing the protection panels is simple. Turn the lateral
locks of each face, place the panel and turn the locks again
to firmly assure them.
